She's 4 y/o and she was misbehaving .... my initial thought for punishment was to send her to her room and make her think about what she did .... but, upon further thinking .... I was gonna tell her she's adopted .....
Is this a good plan???

The best plan is to tell her she will be sent to a children's home if she misbehaves. If that fails lock her under the stairs and make her do all the chores. Then you should get married again to a wicked stepmother. In time a rich and handsome prince will come along and ask for her hand in marriage. This will ensure that you are well looked after in your old age.
That way everyone's a winner baby!

Is she adopted??
If she's not...NO it is NOT a good plan! Children at this young age are very impressionable and while you might think it's funny, such a comment might be remembered for THE REST OF HER LIFE!!
If she IS adopted and she doesn't know it, I don't think the time to tell her is when you want to punish her! Let's use some common sense, please! Children are PRECIOUS!
Send her to her room for a time out...immediately after the offense.

Telling her that she's adopted is a rude thing to say, especially when the child is angry/bad mood, the child wld be heart broken.
She will never respect u 4 dat.
Tell her the facts lovingly wen she gets old enough to understand

I think taking a time out for both of you is better for that age. Make sure she knows what she is think about and then talk about it after a few minutes when you are not as frustrated and have had some time to cool off.
