I have two. One is my homemade Darth Maul costume. I painted the face myself in the mirror and made my head look like his by gluing cones to a swimcap. Won 2nd prize.
The other is my Darth Vader Costume. Made everything but the helmet, which I purchased from the costume store. It was hard to drink out of, though!

When I was a kid my parents used to make me really awesome costumes where I nearly always won a "best costume" prize. One year my Mom was sick and my Dad took me to the five and dime and I picked out a majorette costume. It was white and shiny and had a cool hat, red trim and gold braids. I loved that costume!

I once went as the front end of a horse (we got it at the costume shop) but my partner in those days kept getting naughty every time we tried to walk around. It was too hot anyway in that thing, but it is a funny memory.

I was Tippi Hedron from the movie "The Birds".
I had a large crow on top of my "bleeding" head, and had black spray painted Christmas doves flying at me using floral wire.
Lots of people got a kick out of it.

When I was in my 20's, I always dressed up in a gorrila suit so I could scare the little tykes....worked like a charm, and their parents got a kick out of it.

The Uni-Bomber. Loooong story, and an impromptu gag. It went over quite well, actually.
