I'm an engineer and I build equipment that actually helps society.

I believe that all technology should be used to help people.

I used to work on military systems, and I had to leave that job simply because I opposed the war in Iraq. I didn't like fixing the weapons that were being used to kill people.

I would say that my profession is in step with my belief system. I am a nurse and what better way then to help people everyday then to take care of them.
But it's not always the medical aspect that I or my patients look at. You develope a relationship with these people and sometimes all they need is someone to talk to, and I am there for them to provide a listening ear.

Yes, i guess because i am a teacher. And i teach people to make the national airspace system (flying on planes) safer. Which is in tune with my values. Also teaching people new things is in tune with my values. Helping others learn things that enhance their lives and enhance the lives of others. yes.

I believe in a free and open life that is not afraid of taking chances. I believe in helping others if they are in trouble and watching out for the welfare of the group. I am a surfer so I think this works out for me. :)
