the national language of India is Hindi..
in the bollywood movies ( all of which are hindi)some words from other languages are also incorperated.. particularly marathi, urdu , gujrati and punjabi.
there are quite a few words that mean "promise in Hindi"

vachan
vada
kasam
shapath (more like an oath)

main hoon na
basically is a statement of reassurance..to say some thing to the effect of of why worry when im here.. i'll handle whtever happens.. or leave it to me.

hope that helps

cheers!!

:)

the indian (u mean hindi?) word is 'Waada' for 'the promise'.
The 'v' sound is not there as others have given 'vaada'.

moon hoon na (u mean 'main hoon na') translated to English
is 'I am there' (for u) .For u is implied.

i'm assuming than Indian refers to hindi
the promise is: 'vada' (rhymes with prada)
equivalently, oath means 'vachan' or 'pratigya'
'main (NOT moon) hoon na' means 'i am there". this is in fact a very successful bollywood movie. have un seen it?
