"Enid Blyton" is a series of writers, mostly women, who were hired by the publisher to write that nonsense. Other series of books with various writers who used the same nom d'plume are Nancy Drew by Carolyn Keene, Tom Swift by Victor Appleton, and the like.
Do you like the "new" Betty Crocker? She is a computer composite of several different women.

what about you, are you a man or a woman? your avatar is male, but as far as i know, mia is a girl's name. please correct me if i'm wrong. and enid blyton was a woman. she has in the past been condemned for her apparent snobbish and racist attitudes. examples: most of the children attend a boarding school, which is pretty expensive. therefore the families in her stories are rich people.
And a little girl saw a face at a window, frightened she said "what if it was a black man?"
