Lots of people think I'm dizzy; a forget and lose things easily etc, I'm not stupid, but I am disorganised. I try hard not to be as I consider this a negative characteristic, however it's a characteristic that many guys who've known me have said they like. Is it right to be liked for a negative characteristic, and is being dizzy a negative thing.

You're quite right that I can live up to proper responsibility, I lose it when I've nothing to worry about I guess! I can't sometimes believe that I used to nanny for triplets and nothing deadful happened, or that I am qualified to educate the nation's children! Poor kids!

Dizzy could be synonymous with being an "air head" which would be a negative quality....Some guys would say this is a good quality because they need to feel that they are superior to a female, and would otherwise be intimidated.....

Dizzy could also mean that you are fun and spontaneous which leads to some degree of disorganization.....In this case it is not a horrible thing....it is good to be a little free-spirited, but disorganization can show a lack of maturity....maybe you should try to become more organized without losing your fun-loving nature.....

I would venture to say that when people compliment a negative characteristic they probably have hidden motives, and are not being a good friend....We are supposed to help one another to become better, not remain in unhealthy habits.....

I am a female Engineer...and have always been around men....consider that only 6% of mechanical engineers are women...... So I hear a lot of guy talk.....and they generally refer to women of a dizzy nature in negative ways for long term relationships and friendships....but in quite positive ways when considering people to take advantage of......

I think it is admirable that you are willing to consider if this quality is a good or bad thing.....so that you can become a better person as you continue to grow....

Being dizzy is normal especially if you get up quickly from a sitting position. However, if it is more than that you may want to see a doctor to rule out increased blood pressure which could be a sign of something more serious. I'd call your doctor.

No, think of Pheobe in friends, she's dizzy but we like her. Did you know it takes 21 days to make a habit, if, for 21 days, you keep a diary telling you what you need to do each day, and keep lists, and keep everything tidy, then maybe you will change? Give it a go.

No, I think that's not dizziness. Dizziness is somewhat related to loss of balance or a certain feeling of weakness. You may want to consult a professional to evaluate your health stats. You may be lacking some nutrients in your diet, e.g. Iron.

Being "dizzy" will only have a negative impact on you over your life.
My guess is as you have real responsibility you won't forget
(like taking care of a baby or going to a job etc.)

being dizzy could be a negative thing, but in many ways it becomes an excuse, so you can use it to benifit you. for exapmple, everyone who knows you well will know how dizzy you are, so they wont give you things to remember and organise.
They probably subconsciously like your dizzyness because it makes them feel better than you, at remembering things and that is how it can seem like a positive thing. This may seem a tad harsh, but i bet there's plenty of things that you are better at than your friends and family, and i bet you're secretly pleased that you're better than them at these things.

I think being dizzy is only a negative characteristic in yourself if you dislike the sie effects - like loosing things or benig late etc. Then i can understand why you would want to change that.

However, if you don't mind that, or think "what the heck, that's me", then why should that be negative?

we haev to learn to accept who we are

in terms of other people, im guessing those who dont mind dont cos they can be all protective and look after you, i.e. guts / older women, whilst those who might consider it negative are the ones left waiting for you to find it / do it etc i.e. work colleagues

if you are unhappy, then work to change it so it doesnt affect work etc., but in your social life, if peopel dont like it, tough

it is not neccessarily a negative characteristic to be what you call "dizzy" some people are like this a lot and others have their moments. As long as you are not hurting anyone and enjoy your life dont worry about it. Everyone is different and people see/like different thing in other people.

My memory is terrible I write lists all the time to help me remember things then I forget the list or loose it, I get really annoyed with myself but that is just way I am and the way you are by the sounds of it, there's nothing wrong it because we don't do it on purpose, and if people like you for it there's no problem don't worry and buy some post it notes they help me! :o)
