You move your clock ahead instead of backwards, that's why you were late.

And by the way, you've let the cat out of the bag. I know who you are and any and all these excuse submitted will be unacceptable.

Signed,
/Your Boss.

Depends on how many times you have been late lately. The truth would probably be best but I kind of like "C".

My son has trouble getting up and sets FOUR alarm clocks at five minute intervals. When he finally woke up over an hour late on Friday all four were blaring away. He bought a fifth one. I told him I would call him every morning like I used to but he said he has to do it on his own. The alarm clock people must love to see him coming!

NO! NO! The truth will never work on boss's. Tell them that you are secretly working for GW and you were called early this morning to quickly do a random servey in your neighborhood. By the time you had gotten all the info you were late for work.
And if your boss has a problem with that, suggest he call GW himself to confirm.

You seem pretty relaxed for someone who is two hours late! If that's the case then you shouldn't be too scared of telling your boss the truth.

Unless you can come up with a better excuse than the ones you listed above, tell him the truth. The excuses you listed are too stupid to be believable.

The truth, daylight savings time and all, no one will be surprised. He/she may be relieved that you are not dead at the side of the road.

Tell him that your electricity must have went out briefly and your alarm clock was affected.
