okay its beacuse maily ur video drivers have gone bad... or is not installed properly ....

2nd u might need to chekc ur properties on desktop and settings there ur color quality and screen resolutinon are fine....

and ur connections to the monitor and its cable are proper...

if u still cant figure it out please dont play with ur PC u need a service engineer....
