They want to keep people poor and uneducated so they don't see them for who they really are.

Such a good point. The only people who can run for office these days are the super rich. And millions of dollars are spent, even on local races. What if we had a national election system where ever qualified candidate was given the same amount of equal air time with no exceptions. Then anyone could truly run whether they had a fortune or not.

Yes It is such a shame that all that money is spent and NO one keeps their promise about anything !..........I mean I wonder if there has been a study to prove that over the last 30 years that no matter what the politician promised during his campaign, how much of his promise didhe really keep? Did he actually do what he told the voters he would do. Why or why not?

Not true at all. No child left behind is aimed at the poor. It helps them get a better education, especially in math and the sciences.
With better science skills, they can manufacture their own meth and ecstasy, and better math skills will insure they can read a scale. After eighth grade they can drop out of school and go into business for themselves and be a contributing member of our society. If the poor really wanted to help themselves, they would go to Harvard or Yale. And now to answer your question. It doesn't pay to help the poor.

Maybe if the networks gave them equal time on TV and radio at a fair price at the cost of the taxpayer.
Fact: 90% of the time the candidate that spends the most on there campaign wins their election.

why would you give money to the poor? this is exactly whats wrong with our country. Why dont you give your money to the poor? I was poor once however i would never even think of accepting a handout. This is america, people need to make something of themselves and with government programs they just cannot do it. Handouts keep people down, they come to rely on it and just isnt enough.

Giving millions to the poor has proven that it won't really help. Now if they used the millions to get them jobs, get rid of the dope, and educate them --- now that would help them as well as the rest of the community.

Well, they collect that money from donations, and it is not for the poor, but for their "efforts" to have the power to help the poor from a legal standpoint.
