If you want relaxing I would opt for Goa or Kerala - definitely not Mumbai or Delhi as these are not relaxing places at all!!!! Rishikesh in the Punjab is also a very relaxing place. Its located at the foot of the Himalayas on the River Ganges. It is a very spiritual holy place and a lot of people practice vegetarianism.
Hope this helps and I hope you enjoy your trip!!!!!!

Hi >
If I have your desires correct, I would say Goa, on the West coast every time.
Although a Brit having been there, (a very happy Brit). Invited by a nice bloke from the area.
Remote bits with beach bars and feeding establishments, without being crowded or too busy, lovely freindly people, and cheap.
Job done.
Bob.

I would recommend you to spend at least few days in Rajastan. There is a place where you pay once and have everything included, such as food, entertainment, riding camel or elephant, etc. Also lots to see, of course if you are interested in culture. Be careful with food, cos I had very bad food poisoning in Delhi. But where ever you'll end up just take it as it comes & enjoy!

Go to Koh Chang, a Thai island on the border between Thailand and Cambodia, bliss, you really should give India a miss, Goa as previously mentioned is not bad.

That alternate therapy thingies are best found in Kerala. The Backwaters can be a very relaxing place too.
Pretty damn cheap, I think.
Never been there though.

Asked too much for too little. Anyway you can try Goa for mouth watering food and lovely beaches. You can go to Kerala aswell - it is full of nature and can provide you with alternative theraphy. Both the places are quiet, beautiful and worth a visit.

Mumbai is buzzing nowadays, and there are star-studded restaurants, clubs, and other various eaterys to visit. There are lots of places to volunteer, and it is reasonably cheap.
If you want a beautiful, scenic, relazxing trip, try Darjeeling. It is Great for relaxing.
