Monkeys require the owner to have a Dangerous Animals License. Your property will be inspected to ascertain whether it's fit for the purpose. The license itself costs over a thousand pounds. And you couldn't get a solitary monkey as they're too social to be alone.

Please don't do this- they are wild animals. Im sure you would give it a good home, but these animals are not meant to be kept by humans. To buy these animals is to potentially feed the illegal pet trade. Even if you buy from a reputable source it's still not fair to the animal- it will never be around its own kind in its natural environment. Sorry for the lecture, but its something I feel strongly about.

well, you can adopt a monkey/chimpanzee but it wont come and live with you in glasgow.
