I stopped receiving the depo shot about 3 or 4 months ago since I'm no longer sexual active and I've had pretty light period afterwards until now. Though I plan on consulting with my doctor later on I was wondering if have a 2 week period is normal after being on the depo for 4 years and not having a period at all.

This is very normal. It just takes a little time. It took me 6 months to start having a regular cycle after getting off. Some periods were extremly long, like yours and some were very short. Eventually it righted itself.

It's normal, in that it happens to a lot of women, but you should see your Dr to see if you need an iron supplement. Bleeding for that long depletes your iron supply and makes you tired and listless.

I'm having my first period in two years right now - I was on fertility drugs which stop menstruation, then got pregnant, had a miscarriage, got PG again right away, and had my son on August 1. I sure hope mine doesn't last two weeks!
