i am planning to become a life coach/ counselor in a couple of years. i have gone through so much mentally, physically, and environmentally that i have learned an insane amount and im still learning to expand my mind . e-mail me if you have a problem. its better to get advice from someone who has been there.

it sucked when i would go to the doctors and they had answeres but no clue as to how i felt. because theyve never felt it. well im different. i have felt it and still do. i want to share what worked for me so i can help others finally find peace and joy in their lives. my e-mail address is skysmama77@yahoo.com

No, but work sent us on what was supposed to be a customer relations type course that was delivered by a life coach. He was just some arrogant prick, who spent the entire two days banging on about how much he was getting paid to state the bleedin' obvious and talk bollox.

For example, he used one example of his brilliance on at least five occasions I was counting (while I was still listening) which was: when dealing with a golfer who wanted to improve his game, I advised him to watch a good golfer - one he would like to be able to play like to get some tips and then sent him to a golf coach.... No, really? What a stroke of genius! I wish I could come up with that sort of thing....I've forgotten the bloke's name, which is a pity, because you could have bought his book, which (according to him) was very good.

When presented with an argument he dodged it like a politician on the take, then went back to talking about his favourite topic - himself.

I can't say if this is typical of a "life coach", but I'm guessing that people who think they need one tend to be those with more money than sense, so there's an opportunity for a lot of scamsters there...

On the other hand, I know a couple of people who have had phobias cured effectively by hypnotherapy.

Yes, actually. I have seen a life coach for a while to usher myself into a more enlightened and heightened form of existence.

It all started a long time ago, a close friend of mine was killed, right in front of me, i had a lot of fears and emotional baggage out of that, and to have someone that isnt an overstuffed, over paid, pompous shrink consistantly work you through, one on one, with your personal fears and traumas, really makes a difference.
