Some flies don´t live longer than a day , some go to sleep like us.

Flies actualy only have a 24 hr lifespan (although i have proved this wrong)
Catch a fly, without damaging it in any way.
eg-put a glass over it and slip a peice of paper under the glass.
put the fly in a jar of water and keep turning the water around untill you are convinced the fly is dead,
leave the fly in the water overnight if you like---on the bottom of the jar.
Take it out and put it on a tissue or just the table and pour salt onto the fly--quite a heap.
after a minute, if you do not see the fly coming back to life,-then gently roll the salt with your fingers and find the fly.
continue with a small ammount of salt --The fly lives on and on?
it has no heart like we do??--

Yes they will repose in the window curtains, but I have seen them attached to the ceiling when the light is out

They Go under places like stone ,bushes ectc.
