I am using an ovulation kit and have a question. I couldn't use it Saturday because I hadn't gotten another kit. My husband and I had sex Saturday night. I took one Sunday morning and it read positive. I assumed that maybe it would also be positive this morning (Monday) and it wasn't.

My question is how many days does it normally show positive? Also, once you have one positive reading, do you keep using them each day (till the end of the box) or do you assume that is correct and save the rest for the next month?

If you had sex saturday and the ov test said positive on sunday, then you've already BD'd on your most fertile day!
The egg is only there for about half a day before it is unable to be fertilized, so it sounds like you have had your best shot already this month! I hope it works out for you, honey!! Good luck!!

Also, do you chart your CM and BBT? This could be of great benefit to help you conceive (if you didn't this weekend, that is! lol)
Try a site like http://www.fertilityfriend.com or http://www.mymonthlycycles.com
These can both help you to pinpoint your most likely days to test for ovulation...I am using fertility friend, but have used the monthly cycles one in the past. I know quite a few women who have gotten their BFPs by charting on these sites as well!!
Best of luck and baby dust!!

An opk can stay positive anywhere from 12 - 72 hours. But since you got the positive it means that you will ovulate within 24 - 48 hours. So you should bed after 24 but before 48 hours. Go to www.peeonastick.com it is filled with great information about these tests. There is no need to continue testing once you get the positive. Save the rest for next month.

Once you get a positive reading it is fairly safe to assume you will ovulate within the next 24-36 hours unless ovulation is delayed. You do not need to keep testing after you get a positive, save the rest for the following month if you do not get pregnant. I use them each month along with charting and mine never show positive for more than 2 days.
