well I would prefer a diesel car over a petrol car since I generally ride for 10-20miles a day...............

but since you have mentioned that you ride your car once in a month so i would personally go for a petrol car due to


1] better ride quality
2] smooth engine note and MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL
3]cheaper maintenance and running costs

If u are going to use your car just once a month, dont buy one. Cars should be run at least once a week, otherwise the battery will die down and the parts will begin to rust.

if you still want to buy a car, pick a small petrol vehicle. You should run a diesel often and at least 8km at a time so that the engine does not get damaged.
