Eye glasses can be both functional and used as a fashion accessory. They can enhance your appearance, however, they can be misplaced and depending on the graduation of the lens they can cause headaches, plus you need to get used to them.
Contact lenses provide versatility. Loosing them is less prone to happen. A great deal of care must be taken to ensure their durability and to prevent infections. A solution to properly clean them and disinfect them must be used and they cannot be shared. The structure of the eye is very delicate and just manipulating a foreign object can irritate them. Besides correcting eye problems and having the ability of being worn for long periods of time, contact lense can also be used to change the color of your eyes.
Not everyone qualifies for a Lasik eye surgery. The procedure is very fast and absolutely painless, lasting about 10 minutes as a whole, each laser pulsation enduring anywhere from 15 to 40 seconds. The laser manipulation is computerized, so there are less errors. Corneal strength is preserved and remains stable for many, many years. This procedure can correct myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia with or without astigmatism. Now for the ugly, considering the time it takes, it is expensive. You will need your doctor to monitor you for several months after the operation, and a meanwhile the eye adjusts to the new focus a minor degree of over or under correction can be experienced. Night glare can also be experienced temporarily. If you qualify, this surgery will allow you to have perfect vision without having to use glasses or contacts lenese and it’s worth every penny, but sorry it wont change the color of your eyes

I had a really bad astigmatism for most of my life, so I waited a while for laser technology to improve and then I went in for the surgery.
OMG, what a miracle!! I can see better and farther than I ever have before. I didn't even have to wear glasses for a readjustment period like some people do. I just woke up the next morning and had perfect vision! Do get the ALL LASER surgery, dont let them manually cut your eye...less risk. Good luck!

My vision is 20/400 which is really bad. There was a time I really wanted to do the Lasik surgery. However, quite frankly, I am quite hesitant now... because of the possible side effects, and the other risks, etc.
I opted to try exercises to see if they would improve my vision. I created a blog so that people can follow my progress. You can check it out at

Hope this helps...
