I lost my job a year & half ago. Have not been able to find a job. Have gone through all my savings trying to pay bills, now I am way behind & no one will seem to give me any answers. They want money up front---money that I don't have. All I have is my house left & barely making those payment on odd part-time jobs. I am over 60 which is part of the reason I can't get a job, even though they won't admit it. I know that is why I am not being hired. I have a degree but that doesn't matter. ??? Can someone stir me in the right direction--That doesn't cost money???

Go to http://www.LifeAfterBankruptcy.com and sign up for the free newsletter. It has tons of articles and resources for people that want to rebuild credit after a bankruptcy. However, the information can be used by anyone wanting to rebuild credit and prevent bankruptcy.

Bankruptcy isn't always a bad thing. It's even mentioned in the Bible. In the Old Testament, Moses' Laws prescribed one "Holy Year" should take place every half a century, when all debts are eliminated among Jews and all debt-slaves are freed, due to the heavenly command.

they have changed the bankruptcy laws in the last couple of years...have you talked to a non-profit consumer credit counselor?this may not help alot but have you applied for work in any retail stores? I know Walmart and Kmart and most malls are hiring...I know you are probably over qualified for the job, but at least it's a paycheck....best of luck...

You are not alone. I have known guys in your position, whoi had to do what you are presently doing, doing odd jobs. I guess you will have to continue to do this, until something comes along. Don't give up, and I will pray for you.
