Thought too is physical, and with sufficient intensity, it can 'snowball' into materialising our desires...
Very difficult to understand , but some possibility to experience... especially the teen age girls can feel the piercing stare from somebody even from behind, when the eye cannot 'catch' them staring .

That is a good question.
No. It is merely to egg on others that one says. What of course is true is the fact that our effort is mostly proportional to how badly we want something and results too are mostly proportional to the effort put in. However, the two 'mostly' in the equation have thousands of ifs and buts, which make the probability much much lower than 100%, perhaps nearer 50%, meaning that it is as probable as not!!
Yet it is quite a probability in this world which is so full of uncertainty!!

No it isn;t true. If yu want it bad enough you can work work harder for it, but no gurantee at all.
Luck also must paly a role in wants and wishes.
If yu are 2000 a month in debt, an dhave a 1500 dollar a mont h job , and want a new car bad enough you may have ot wait.
If your credit score is 200 and you want a400,000 house uyou may have to wait until you can build up your credit score and also your salary.
If you want to be rich or want that redhead with th enice body but she doesn't want you all the want in the world will not get her:):) but good luck with the redhead.

Positive thinking, persistence and hard work definitely pay off. If you want something badly enough & work toward your goal until you get it, you have a very good chance. Some things may be beyond reach or beyond your control but you can still get close. For example, if I wanted to be a ballet dancer (which incidentally I did, but my parents wouldn't pay for lessons & you have to start when you're 4 years old to really make it a career. I'm a tad old now!) it is too late to be a professional. To be a prima ballerina, you would have to start as a very young child & work toward it your whole life. However, if I still really wanted it, I could make it a part of my life. I could take ballet now, in my 30's (ok I may look a bit silly in a tutu with a class full of 5 year olds but oh well). I could become skilled enough to perform in recitals, I could audition for parts in local musicals, theatre groups. I could still be on stage, doing ballet for an audience. It may not be a career but it would be something I enjoy & be part of my life. I gave up on dancing as my dream though (and acting too). I didn't want them badly enough. Now I focus on art & music.
Whatever it is that you're passionate about, go for it & keep trying until you succeed. (Don't be like me, I often give things a half-assed effort & give up when it's too difficult! If I'd tried harder who knows what I may have accomplished? Oh well, it's not too late. Got to get off my butt & pursue my dreams, hardcore!)

Life takes its own decision in this . Those who get what they wanted swear by the philosophy of intense desire to get and it gets done. The others, who wished equally intensely , do not get it and they accept it as simply luck.
But, the two groups emerge from the experience with different state of mind., the first one optimistic and the secomd pessimistic.
I have been the luchy first group person from day one. Now , my average of success is good.

I think you have to realize there are limitations to this. The Olympics is a great example. Hard work and determination can go a long way but only one person is going to win that gold medal. Every athelete there has worked his/her buns off to get there and some are going to have to settle for coming in last.
I think you have to do your best and enjoy whatever success you obtain.

Its not always true just as Otherworld said..It helps a lot to be motivated but luck plays the part too. I want Kristen to by my wife really bad and I did everything that I possibly can to make her love me. No luck. So there you have it.

I believe that is true. Most things I have wanted I was able to get if I kept my mind on it and worked hard. And prayed.

I think it depends on your spiritual plan...you may want it...but it may not mean you will get it...you may get it in a different form or a different way...but not in the way you ask for...spiritual life is quite strange...but when you look back you see that it makes sense...
