No definitely not, when you go to registrar they will ask you the fathers name and you can't put someone else down as that is fraud and it definitely wouldn't be fare to the baby growing up to a lie, not knowing who the father is, put on the birth certificate father unknown if you don't want the real father on it, also the reason this other ***-hole wants nothing to do with the baby is that he's a coward and not even a man, all men should stand up to there responsibility and not be a coward, I would put his name on it and claim child support of this waste of space.

You will be breaking the law, if at the registery office you put your ex husbands name as the father of your child altho you can name him as the father if he is present. Unless the biological father is present, you cannot put his name on the certificate either. You would have to either change the name by deed poll, or your ex husband could adopt the baby, and thus change name.

give him your maiden name or his ACTUAL fathers surname or unknown.
What happens when your baby-to-be finds out when hes older that you lied?!
Also to register a birth if your not married anymore, you both have to be there. Does your ex know that you want to do this?!

Yes you can use your surname, because that's what unmarried mums do, but list the childs fathers name on the Birth Certificate.

If you changed your name to your Ex husbands name then it IS your name. And yes you can use it. It isn't just your ex's name it is YOUR name.
Unless you legally change your name back to your maiden name.
Close your legs and stop having kids. You should worry less about the kids names and more about their mental health when they learn that mom was a ho.

Technically u can give a child any name u please.. but i would seek your x husbands permission , i dont know of to many men that would want a child that is not theirs to have their last name.. i understand ur reasoning behind it.. so that all of u will have the same last name.. so maybe u can explain it to him that way.. think it may not go over very well, and u may find urself in court having to change it..

Yes you can. A mother can name her baby anything she wants. You just can't put your ex husband down as the father.

if you use his name he now has access to this child since you have said he is his by using his last name. the courts could go after him for support he may not be the father but his name is on the certificate. it would be best if the child had your maiden name...

In the US yes. The baby has your legal surname by default unless you put another name down.
