Write to them to tell them where you believe the error is i.e. raise an official dispute. Give them a reasonable length of time to reply i.e. two weeks and tell them that if you have not heard off them in this time you will take the issue to Oftel.
Give it two weeks and 2 or 3 days (to allow for postal delays). Then write an official complaint to Oftel. Send a copy of this complaint to the service provider and wait for them to investigate.
If the bill relates to calls you didn't make then you should report it to the Police and ask the phone company for another SIM card (if mobile related). Place the original SIM card in the hands of a responsible person i.e. solicitor. That way, if you receive a bill for calls made, then you have proof that you didn't make them. Alternatively, were the calls made whilst you were elsewhere or do you leave your phone on all the time and someone has taken advantage of this to call their relatives in Canada or something?
Most things that are errors will be resolved, just use all the avenues available to you.

Your phone company is regulated from the Public Utilities Commission. The address should be on your bill. Before contacting them, make sure that you've listened to the people you've talked to at the phone company and that you haven't done all the talking. Go up the line of supervisors but then get the PUCO involved in resolving your dispute. Make sure you document everything.

Incorrect? Need more info. If you have a dispute about your bill WRITE to them. If they do not respond within, say, two weeks.
DON'T give empty threats and do not mention the press or the local authorities.
C.C. your letter to the telephone regulator (Oftel) and inform them of the situation. Remember to provide evidence/proof where necessary to argue your case.
PS: When you write you letter to the phone company they should see the C.C. to the regulator.

Ask to speak to a Supervisor, document name and time of conversation. If this brings no results, ask for the mailing address of the President of the Company, write a letter to him, document all conversations and include a copy,send copies of letters you wrote, it is important that you send a copy of your phone bill too. Mail the letter certified return address requested. If this brings no results, write to your States Public Utility Commission. and include all documentation. Good Luck.

Go to you local citizens advice bureau there is a phone regulator the name is OFTEL. Or contact watchdog at www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog

Hello.
Insist on them. Send a register letter saying that you will take legal procedure (sue them.even if it is just to scare them...).also send with a letter a copy of our bill and a proof.
