My favorites change-today it might be "The Ghost Song" tomorrow, "Who Scared You."

While Jim Morrison was a community college student in Clearwater, Florida he had a girlfriend, Mary. He did had huge following from reading his poems in the local coffee houses but eventually he moved to California and became a singer. The St. Pete Times has an excellent article on this.

my choice is: Roadhouse Blues (live)

I like Whiskey Bar best - but Riders on the Storm is probably the "best." Then again there's Waiting for the Sun...

Jim Morrison never wanted to be a rock star, he wanted to be a poet but his friends talked him into setting his poems to music and the rest is history. I wish I had been around to see him in concert but he died shortly after I was born.

"Celebration Of The Lizard" (from "Absolutely Live")...it epitomizes the Doors and Jim Morrison at their overblown, pretentious best!
