I would only ever loose the will to live temporarily, and have done so. The event was the love of my life telling me "there is no hope for us"... despite loving each other to the brink of insanity, the distance according to him, was too great to breach. I not only lost the will to live, but the desire to breathe, to take another step even.
Now, I realise sometimes situations are so overwhelming as to seem hopeless, and yet there is always hope. I won't let anyone take my hope away - it is not theirs for the taking, only mine for the giving and I won't give it.
So yeah, a love that crushes and hurts can lead to self-destructive thoughts.

the death of my husband would make me lose the will to live. I would have to just get on with life i know but it would be difficult.

I would have to say losing my hubby or anyone of my 3 kids. That would pretty much put me over the edge.

The death of my partner. I have a chronic illness which means I am in constant pain and have chronic fatigue, if my partner died there would be no point in going on, as my sole reason for living would be gone.

thats easy my kids i could lose a man my home car i even lose my way sum times but i couldnt lose my kids
