I suppose it depends on what you mean by much space. It sounds like you're aiming for older games that won't place much demand on a newer system.
I'd recommend Morrowind (Elder Scrolls III), Neverwinter Nights, Fallout, Fallout 2, Arcanum, Baldurs Gate, Baldurs Gate 2, and Planescape Torment.
Avoid Temple of Elemental Evil, it was badly designed and lags out even fairly new systems to the point of unplayability.

If you like 3D wargames then Call of Duty is really good. If you like war strategy then I would suggest something in the Age of Empires series, or Rome total war. If you want to do something less violent then you could try Sim city or Zoo tycoon.
The Sims would also be quite fun.
My favourite game at the moment is Age of Empires 3: the war Chiefs.
But sorry, I don't play much RPG!
