I just read something about this not very long ago. If remember right we all start off as females at first and some of us change into males, I don't know the exact reason why. I know an alligators sex is determined by temperature, we could be the same way.

Men can in fact breast feed, this is the reason that they have nipples, milk ducts and mammary tissue, they also produce oxytocin and prolactin, the two hormones needed to produce milk. Though it is only through extensive stimulation they are able to do so and the volume in which they can produce is low. Some tribes in Africa have the male elders feed the young while the women are working in the fields.

Also, though some people have stated that we all start as females, this is very incorrect. XY = males & XX = females. A Male can produce X & Y chromosomes while a Female can only produce X chromosomes, therefore during reproduction when a sperm fertalizes an egg, it is the sperm that immediately determanes the sex of the baby. There is no changing from a girl to a boy after the sperm has met the egg.

The nipple and areola of males and females can be erotic receptors, or considered sex organs. Stimulation or sexual arousal can cause the nipples to become erect, due to the release of the polypeptide neurotransmitter oxytocin.
In other words, the men's nipples aren't functioned for breastfeeding but for stimulation..

(To above confusion)

Sex of human is decided by whether or not the sperm that fertilizes the egg contains a Y (male) or X (female) chromosome. It joins with the X chromosome already in the egg. XX and XY.

Because they develop on the foetus before the final changes that decide sex occur.

Every foetus starts out as female, later on the lucky ones evolve into males

it has been proven with enough stimulation, males can actually produce milk in their mammary glands. yes men have mammary glands too. but due to the fact men cannot get pregnant, mammary glands and not prominent. do the research yourself, its true.
