You will be fine. I am also "big build" and I can tell you from experience you would want to wear light-weight material. It doesn't have to be shorts, but you will want something that you will be comfortable in. Plus I don't like tank tops much, so I wear T-shirts. If you carry a small backpack, you can always take along an extra shirt to change (in case you get a bit sweaty). I do this and after I change (just a shirt) halfway through the day, I feel quite refreshed- without having to spend time going back to the resort. Of course since you will be there for 2 weeks, you will have lots of time to enjoy yourself. (I usually go for only 5 days and like to spend one whole day at each park)

Have a great trip! BTW, I will be there for the week of Dec. 3rd!!

Cropped trousers will work out just fine. During the time that you will be traveling, the humidity and hot weather will not be around. You can look for temp to run anywhere from the 70's to mid 80's (unless we get one of those cold fronts come through and temps can drop to 40's at night). If you are planning to attend any of the dinner shows, you might want to bring along a sweater because some of them have a tendency to be a bit heavy on the air conditioning.
Enjoy your trip.

I would pack a few of both pants and shorts, or cropped pants. That time of year can be fickle, weather wise, so its best to be prepared for either. Be sure to check out www.weather.com 1 week before your trip to see what the weather conditions are in Orlando. Odds are, it will still be warm, but cool and maybe even chilly at night. Look into a pair of zip-off cargo pants. Those are great to wear to Disney parks!

You should be fine. I live 20 minutes outside of Orlando...the weather here is very unpredictable. If a cold front comes in the week you're here you may need some warmer clothes, but otherwise that should be perfect. You're coming at the best time of year (weather-wise)

Just keep an eye on the forcast the week before you come

Have a great trip!

I went in Dec and found I needed a mixture. I would bring at least 2 pair of shorts, just in case. Unless of course, you feel you would be more comfy in cropped trousers regardless of the temp. With the heat and all the walking, chaffing is a big problem in Disney- all the shops sell several creams or powders, so the cropped trousers may be better in that respect. I would also bring at least one pair of jeans or pants. Have fun.
