what I think is that when you say "Good Morning", the meaning or interpretation given to it all depends on who you say it to. For instance to a person that is just lost his job that morning or a day before, he/she may not see what is good in the morning. Perhaps same goes for the person who has just lost a beloved friend or relative.

However, if its a person qwho just won a $1,000,000.00 lottery or landed a well paid job or better still just passed a coolege exams or just been promoted to a management postion, to such person, there is all that is good or worthwhile in the mornig.

Maybe, it will be better to greet "Morning" rather than "Good Morning", because, to some they really don't and won't see anything good in the morning.
