My boss has no idea his son is gay or that we are having sex - let alone thinking about getting 'serious'...

I think you should both do what makes you both happy.
The boss isn't living his sons life and he should respect what ever decision his son makes regardless of his sexuality.
If you ended up loosing your job because you are in a realtionship with his son then that is total discrimination and you can take it further.
At the end of the day you have to be happy with yourself and your life.

As others have said, stop doubting yourself. Repeat after me: "NOBODY is too good for me". Tell yourself that every day. I'm an average looking guy, but I don't let that stop me from asking out women who look like supermodels. They key is that I go into every potential relationship thinking about what I have to offer. Women like me because I make them laugh. Also, I'm a nice guy with a stable career, which is important at my age (33), because women my age are looking for marrying material. Actually, focusing on your positives is good in other areas of life besides dating, too. I make a list in advance of what I have to offer before going into job interviews, also. I used to be very shy when I was in school, but I've learned that a positive attitude can overcome a lot of life's difficulties and help you get what you want in life.

If I was your boss and I found out my son and you were having an affair I would first talk to my son. If you were what my son wanted, fine go for it it's his life but I would also ask you to find other employment. Makes life a little easier that way.
I happen to be a lesbian and a mother of a son who will have to make his own choises in the future.

Do you really need our opinions?! You're screwing your boss's son and your boss doesn't even know his son is gay! At the least he doesn't know that you two have been screwing! Think about it for a second. Honestly, you job could be in jepordy if one of a million things goes wrong.

Yes, you should date your bosses son if he is gay...and enjoying sex with him and vice-versa. The only complication I see is if your boss fires you just because you are having a relationship with his son...Then you can sue the f--ker for sexual discrimination....

oh sweetie,
Dont ever dip your pen in the company ink, especially if the boss has ties to the ink-well
If your serious about the son, start putting out resumes, get another postion, and then after the son comes out to daddy-dearest, slowly introduce you relationship.

well I lived with my bosses bosses bosses son--he was a vice president...really a nice man...in retrospect he must have known..but I never asked for favours or anything..but I did get my job from him....coworkers were a little suspicious of me (not that I would ever have used his position to my advantage).
