I'm not sure, but I presume the answer you are looking for is 'pangea', the supercontinent that is said to have existed before plate tectonics broke it up.

Wikipedia states:
"Pangaea or Pangea (derived from Παγγαία, Greek for "all earth") is the name given to the supercontinent that existed during the Paleozoic and Mesozoic eras, before the process of plate tectonics separated the component continents into their current configuration. The name was coined by Alfred Wegener, chief proponent of Continental Drift in 1915."

The so-called first continent was called Pangea. All the continents we know today were squished together. Time and changing geological conditions split that large landmass which eventually formed the world as it is today.
