He only has two years of experience in government so I think not. The following election he might be a contender. If I was Hillary I'd ask him to run with me for vice president.

Pleeze......put him up against Colin Powell and Obama is
in trouble. The 2008 elections are so far off, let's just
vote on Tuesday, and see how things work out.
Alot can happen in two (2) years, and some of it not good.

No. Because I don't think he is going to run. At least not as president. I don't think there is a black man alive is willing to make the decision to be president for a day and the latest presidental assanation the next.
Obama is not dumb. The country is not ready for it. I don't care how popular Oprah and 50 cent are. An African American male president is not going to happen for at least the next 5 elections.

Sen. Obama was elected in 2004 and holds his seat until January 2011. If he runs again it will be in 2010. He will not run in 2008...for anything.

Obama may be a fine guy and all but he doesn't have a chance in hell of winning an election. He's a sharp, smart senator but really now, do you think the country that put Dubya in office twice is gonna go for him? I'm a Democrat and I hope neither he nor Hilary run. I'd like to win and with those two, I don't see it as possible. Maybe hilary, but I don't see it. Too much baggage and too much capacity for reaction by those who loathe her.

Woodrow Wilson never finished his first term as governor of New Jersey before he was elected President.
Uylsses S. Grant never held a political office.
Nor did Dwight D. Eisenhower.
While political experience helps, history has shown that it isn't necessary in the eyes of the American people.
Barack Obama has my vote in 2008 if he runs.

If he is campaigning on more issues than being black I might consider it. I don't know much about him but a rookie senator cannot have that much political experience on a large scale as president of the US.....which leads me to believe he's being thrown in there to tap into a LARGE and growing population of black and Latino voters. He may be good but time has yet to tell us much other than the fact that he was broke and became wealthy........so what?

Nope. He's had very little experience and he leans to far to the left. Oprah may vote for him but I will not.

I've never heard of him so I'm not qualified to answer. Then again since people have no idea who he is. Maybe he shouldn't run.
