The phrase: Your greatest enemies are your greatest lovers! Has anyone heard this theory and if so what is your opinion on it? true? stupid ? or just deep down crazy talk?

I'm not sure how accurate this theory is when it is applied to the general situation, but in my case, it's certainly true.

However, I think you should see this theory in a metaphorical way. Our lovers can be our greatest enemies because they're the ones who can make us cry, laugh, get angry or run like maniacs with no reason, therefore they're the ones that have all the control over us. And that control, depending on how it is used, could turn against us anytime.
And our greatest enemies can be our lovers because they motivate us and they give us reasons to live and fight. Our enemies awaken the competition spirit inside of us and consequently we have a reason to gather our forces and fight. So, in that way, they are unwillingly useful to us.

In a sense, this is true. It's true because someone has to be closest to you in order to hurt you. And usually the people we live with are people we love. But you will fight / argue with someone in your household 100 times for every 1 time you fight your enemy outside the house.

That's just crazy talk!

I thought the voices in my head are my greatest enemies
Where did you get an idea like that?
Well, isn't that what they say?
They? who the hell are "they"?
I don't remember. Stop picking on me.
Stop talking like a loon.
OK
Say goodnight, Grace
Goodnight Grace.

I think it depends on how much of an enemy they are. But who would know you better than of course your enemy after all you try to learn everything about them like they try to learn everything about you. So I'd have to say it's true a little bit anyway.
