It's to do with the refractive index of light.

If the object in question has the same refractive index as it's surroundings, then it will appear invisible to the human eye.

For example, Water has a refractive index of 1∙5, and Diamond has a refractive index of 1∙5. So take the Diamond and put it into the Water and it become invisible, because it has the same refractive index.

The human eye sees reflected light. A black whole does not reflect light so you can't see it. If all the colour pigments are removed from the body I suspect you will appear colourless - like water.
For the body to become invisible, you need to have the same refractive index as the surrounding air.

the black hole idea is great ( not practical), but don't think it will work if u remove the melenin, i mean you can still see glass or water due t the reflexion of light on it.
try going light speed, it's good, you'll be invisible and you won't age as time passes. you'll get back after 1 year finding a new high tech world in 7006 maybe, lol.
there is an experiment to do with a needle that make it disappear, it's very complicated but the idea is to have a huge magnetic field around it, don't know why though, can't be applied on human, sorry.

The only way to see something is to observe the light reflected off of that object. If an object reflects no light, then there is nothing to percieve. Therefore: find a substance which reflects no light or find a substance which absorbs all light, then there will be no visual perception. You must also take into account the absence of light. If a substance exists in this space which absorbs all light or reflects no light, then there shall also be a space of visual emptiness, as to how this would be visually translated is of unknown conclusion, yet it can be described as a space of abherent or anomalic circumspatial area, which in itself describes an area of space that does not conform to the visual spectrum. In other words, because it exists, it is different from its surrounding environment, and it therefore becomes visible because it is not perceptible as normality. Something, obviously, out of place, is visible.Solve this, Be GOD.

Even if you were transparent, your body would have a different refractive index from that of air, so you wouldn't be invisible - just as you can see a perfectly clear clean glass vase. You have to cover yourself with something that bends the light around you so that it appears to come from the opposite side to the viewer. Work is already progressing pretty well using this technique with microwaves. Scary!

I don't think removing pigment from skin is the answer to becoming invisible. That, I imagine can only happen in the true absence of light. Even if were to happen, I think our skin would become invisible exposing all our organs, skeletal structure and all the gooey stuff.

The answer might lie in artificailly intelligent mirrors. If we were covered with mirrors or screens that intelligently project the image of whatever is behind us, then we'd be invisible, don't you think?

get yourself totally naked. gradually u ll feel shame about urself. gradually u strart remaining inside the house only. even ur family members would not like to see u. then u ll start remaining in your room only. then nobody will be visiting nor u will be able to see anybody . This condition of isolation shows the symptoms of invisibility of human beings is considered " invisible" as per psychologist. follow this. soon u will be invisible

Albinos have no pigment. They aren't "invisible." To be invisible you have to be black and poor and live in the 9th ward in New Orleans.
