Webpages should appear instantly but they're always sluggish and like take 5 seconds to load (cable modem). Things on this computer are just really sluggish nowadays. What can I do to fix this? Get things back to the way they should. We have three users, usually only one logged on at a time.

PLEASE do not answer with the usual things like:
Defrag
alt/ctrl/del
msconfig
regedit
running processes
I already know about all this stuff so please don't post it just to get points or I'll report as abuse

Sounds like you have an ad-ware or spy-ware problem. Could be a virus also. Scan your computer with anti-virus,spyware,adware software. Another thing it could be is that you have dll problems and you can get software like "pc bug docter" to fix your dll's.
I bet you already know this but I still feel I have to say it, check your hard drive for for uninstalled programs and delete their folders in the program files. Also try the "system restore" option in the "control panel". Good Luck!

"Cookie Cutter" does have a valid point.

Well since you're so smart, what do you need to ask us for? You don't mention anything about a firewall or a virus scan. Do you know what those things are and more importantly how to use them? As for answering with the 'usual' things. If you're having a 'usual' problem then it's usually a 'usual' thing that's causing it... Deee dddeeee deeeeeeeeeeee I would suggest a couple things, as I've been fixing computers successfully for over 15 years, but you don't seem like the type to take suggestions well. So keep doing things the way YOU want to do them, even if they don't work.

do you currently have a running filesharing program? if limewire or emule is running in your system tray, your connection might be slow because people are downloading files from your computer.

Just make sure you don't have viruses or spyware running, slowing your machine. I use AVG and SpyBot. (but my computer still runs slower than last year....)
