You can re-pot at any time just make sure the soil or compost is not frozen. Add some rose fertiliser to the compost. You said your rose was a patio rose so be carefull how you prune. Quite a lot of the patio roses just need to clipped lightly. Best to check on the variety and how you treat it by asking the shop you bought it from.

After a heavy flowering season re pot in cooler weather and then give a good feed of Sea sol that is a root food.

your best to re-pot when dormant ie when all the leaves have fallen off for the winter pot on about 1 Inch diameter bigger than the pot it's already in

just re potted all my plants and roses into bigger pots do it now but mind you don't disturb the root ball to much you will be OK.

in case you in basic terms moved it out of smaller pot into more effective pot, you may want to not have any problem, water nicely, if open flowers nonetheless wilting, trim open flowers off, and position the pot out of wind and solar till eventually it possibilities up. desire you used good compost, and did not placed diverse feed close to the roots.

When the roses go dormant or finish blooming trim them back to a foot and transplant.

i have always read that you should plant your bare root roses in October and take cuttings then.so i should think it will be the same for re-potting roses.then they will be ready for next spring.

Do it now, I trim all bushes back this time of year, in fact really hack at them and they grow lovely in the Spring/Summer!
