I have ASUS notebook and Iwant to connect the notebook to the TV. Ihave the cable that connect each other but when I connect and turn the TV to AV mode, there is nothing appear in the TV screen.

Change from the internal to the external display with the function key. look at one of the F1, F2.....F12 keys. look for one that looks like |[]| . press function (fn) + that key

Make sure that you have the correct channel as TV's have a couple of AV's input eg AV1, AV2 and AV3.
once you are sure that you got the correct channel, then try pressing the function and "screen button" a few times until you get the picture.

there may be more than one input channel on your specific television try flipping through all of the channels until you see what you can see on your laptop on your television set if that does not seem to work then try the same thing with your vcr or dvd recorder if you have one just try that and maybe you will be in business

Though the keys sometimes differ from Laptop to laptop
