Firstly, I am very new to ebay. I resently recieved an email invoice asking me to pay for an item that I have accidently clicked on. Then I told the ebayer the situation nicely and all, but he said i have to pay a $2.7 listings fee for the item, hes a real jerk. This is simply preposterous as it was just an accident. What will happen if I don't pay? will any fees occur at all? Will ebay strikes cause me to pay? I don't really care about my score since I don't sale on ebay, just buy. Any answers yahoo? Thanks.

It costs money to list something on E-bay. He paid that money to list the item.

You purchased his item by accident. That was YOUR fault. He's being rather nice by not asking for you to pay the whole amount for the item.... it's within his right to do so.

All he's asking you to pay is the money he's out from listing the item. Because YOU screwed up his auction, he has to re-list the item and pay the listing fee again.

Are you suggesting that he's a jerk because he's not offering to pay for YOUR mistake? The guy was giving you a break....

If you don't pay, you'll be blacklisted in ebay. Not only for buying but selling as well.

here's one way to resolve the problem. you buy the item from the jerky guy, then put the item up for bidding again. who knows, you might get a profit from this sale.

sure, the client can depart you adverse comments in the event that they decide directly to whether you launch the dispute. I had a issue on ebay a brief even as lower back whilst a spare section I gained for my motorbike replaced into paid for, the broking informed me he would not deliver it except I paid a extra 20 quid for postage ( i could already paid him the agreed tenner). I refused and he released a dispute against me after approximately 2 months of wrangling he despatched the section, the postage value him 4 quid and it replaced into despatched in an old wine container crammed with paper. As such I left adverse comments warning that he would carry your merchandise to ransom as he had completed in my case. the broking then left adverse comments for me claiming I hadn't paid in any respect, and he had despatched the article. in case you decide on on my opinion the terrific component you're able to do is to dam this person from bidding on your products lower back, document him to ebay and deliver him an e mail telling him why you have completed this then grant the article to the subsequent person. Leaving adverse comments generally only reciprocates adverse comments to you

he's asking for a $2.7 listing fee because as a seller, if someone buys there item, even accidently , they still have to pay those fees to ebay . i dont think you have to pay if you get a strike though .
