I prefer reading the book than watching the movie. Of course the movie never sticks to the book but I wish they would like in Queen Of The Damned, the ending in the book is awesome. The ending in the movies freaking sucks!.

That all depends. I've seen movies after reading the book and I was disappointed with the movie. I've also read a book and watched the movie and I was delighted.

I guess what it comes down to is how true to form the script writer and director stay to the original book.

I've NEVER seen a movie that was better than the book...there's just no replacing imagination!

i would of more than likely of read the book already...thats how it is now. but i didnt start reading the harry potter books till after ive seen the first movie though...then i got into reading them.
(im a big bookworm.)
but if ive seen the movie and heard there was a book out of it, i would definitly read the book. I agree that books tend to be more better than the movie.

You should read the book then watch the movie.

Depends.

If I'd read the book first (before a movie of it was made), and I really liked that book, I would not go to the movie......and vice versa.

Been there, done that, and, except for one time ("Ordinary People"), it was a downer, cuz the book either didn't follow the film, or vice vera.

Read the book first, then see the movie and compare!

Read the book, then see the movie. But the book always seems nicer (it's the original, after all).
And you understand what the characters are saying, if you miss something he says on the movie you can't play it back, unless you're watching a DVD.
