Your answer requires a lot of answers. In starting a printing company or any business for that matter, you need to know a lot of things. Here are some of the few I believe are the most important.

1. Market for your business. Firstly, you should make sure that you have a market for your printing company. Meaning, the moment you commence business, you will be able to earn income because you have customers. If you open a business with uncertainties in your market, then you are most likely to fail. Remember that a business thrive because they have a market for their products (goods/services).

2. Financial Resources: Make sure that you have enough capital to start your business. Financial resources play a significant role in the operation of every business so the failure to secure financial stability would mean the failure of your business. Seek the help of financial analysts or any qualified finance personnel.

3. Non-Financial Resources: Well, you still need resources other than cash. You need informations, manpower (skilled workers), connections etc. Since you are entering into printing company, make sure that you are well rounded about the industry. What I mean is, you should be knowledgeable about how a printing press operate, technicalities about printing press, relevant and related laws/policies governing such industry etc.

Aside from what's been said, it will also be helpful if you enrol yourself to some marketing, management and accounting subjects. This will definitely aide you in your marketing plans and marketing strategies. In case it wouldn't be convenient for you to do so, you can always buy a book and study it yourself.

Cheers.
