Will they somehow cancel each other out in my stomach and leaving me feeling empty (on the inside)?

Did you ever read Terry Pratchett's take on this? Antipasta is cooked an hour after it's eaten, where as the pasta is cooked and hour before. The antipasta works against time, and when it clashes with the pasta and the exact moment you sit down, it causes a taste explosion which leaves your taste buds in ecstacy and a nasty mess on the table and walls.

I see you are at the cutting edge of bistromathics.

In fact some the more enterprising particle physicists have now given up on particle colliders and have come to the conclusion that the collision of antipasto and pasta in the digestive tract is in fact the most likely source of the elusive Higgs Boson.

The sceptics say that the whole thing was a mistake and that actually Higgs was just a bozo.

Well the antipasto and the pasta will have a battle, the pasta will claim victory leaving you with a satisfied tummy.

Absolutely. I think there have been studies proving this, and if I recall correctly, a leading scientist in the field of gastric anomalies garnered a Nobel prize for one of these studies.

But yes, they will most certainly cancel one another out. It's science.

I was thinking of the same answer, but you've beat me to it in your detail. But that would be a good thing, leaving more room, as dessert is wonderful.

In truth, it is Antepasto (before the pasta) - like an appetizer.
