There is no form of politics which does not have thugery, corruption, and bluffing. Those 3 are the basic definition of politics in general.
Besides, there are no democracies. For instance, the US is a republic, not a democracy, as so many believe. The people of the US are represented. The people in the US cast ballots, but they don't REALLY vote for President...the electoral college does that. The same is true for every other 'democracy'.
So, truthfully, I'd have to say that no, democracy is not corrupt, does not bluff, and does not use thugery ONLY because democracy does not exist outside of the dictionary. (Even the ancient Greeks and Romans were represented).
Did you sleep through both civics class AND history and current events?

Absolutely! And a good grounding in the English language will enable you to read all about it. I mean, goodness, what in the world is 'Corruption Bluffings"? It sounds like a character in a bad movie.

Sure. A couple of thugs showed up at my house just last week to make sure I voted. I bluffed them. And they went on to spread corruption wherever they could.

No it's a game of get a job, pay taxes, make INFORMED decisions about who you want to politically represent you, vote them in and see that they work for the things YOU want. And since our lovely tree has a judicial branch the occasional clown that sneaks his way in can be promptly put in his place.....unfortunately Americans have become complacent and instead of writing their politicians demanding results they simply get on Yahoo Answers and complain like children.
