I think they will eat most fruit or veg, if they don't like it they won't eat it, so just try different things and you can decide yourself.

My horse loves brussel sprouts which I feed her raw, and in moderation, around Christmas time. I tried her once on raw parsnips. She sucked all the food off that was sticking to them and then spat the parsnips out over the top of her stable door, forming a perfect little parsnip pile on the courtyard. So I never bothered giving her them again. The moral of the story is, your horse will let you know if something is not to their taste.

If this is too personal, I apologize profusely. But when comparing notes with friends, there seems to be a relationship between a person's attitude towards food and their attitude towards sexual relations. Have you noticed any carry over between the two?

Apples & Carrots are fine, the odd chopped turnip is okay too BUT NO SPUDS they are really bad for horses so steer clear of those

its best to avoid anything from the brassica family ie cabbage, broccoli, sprouts etc as they cause huge amounts of excess gas which can lead to severe colic, potatos are a definate no no, as are bananas.
I generally stick to Apples, carrots, swede, parsnip, oranges and the odd pear.

they can't eat quite alot actually!! things like cabbage and brocoli, they don't like so they wont eat it anyway. DO NOT GIVE THEM POTATOES they are very bad for them. they like strawberries too, so you can give them those as a nice treat!
