Friendship is something everyone wants but not everybody has. I've always been of the belief that friends were people that you could depend on. Who would always thank you for all you did for them and would always be there for you when you needed them. People who would always tell it to ya straight and not try to pull the wool over your eyes. To count on when you needed a quick laugh or a shoulder to cry on. However, as of late, it seems like a lot of people have a different definition of the word friend. Apparently to these people, a friend is someone who's there only when it's convenient for them to be there. It's someone who only talks about their problems and ignores everyone elses. It's someone who is too busy to keep in touch with unless as previously stated it's convenient for them to do so or if they need something. A friend to them is someone you tell half truths to or fabricate stories to make themself seem bigger or more important than they actually are. A friend is someone that instigates things and then tells the person to chill out when they get worked up. And a friend is someone who will make a fool of a person or stab them in the back for their own amusement. This if you ask me is a warped and twisted definition of what a friend is. However, it's a sad fact of life that there are a lot of people who believe this is the true definition of friend. I am not one of those people. If I'm your friend, I'm your friend to the end. I'm never too busy to help out or lend an ear to listen. I can count the real true friends I have one one hand. Actually, less than one hand. The so called friends however, I need an adding machine for. So to all those who don't know the true meaning of friendship, I suggest you open up a Dictionary and look it up. And then be more true to the people you call friends.

A true friend is someone that is someone that will listen, someone that is caring and honest about life. Their life. My life. I have four true friends in my life. The Lord in whom I talk to every day and night, without him I would not be myself. My husband, we got married 6 years ago, and I can tell him anything, be totally 100% honest with him. He cares about me, and loves me for who I am. I would not be the same without him, I wouldn't be living my life the way that I am today, or have the will for living... He is my everything. My joy. My two sisters Jeannie and Carmen. We have been through so much.. We were all put up for adoption, and we made it back to eachother, we are still learning about one another. Without them in my life, I wouldn't be able to live my life fully as God intended. It is truly a blessing to have family that I thought I would never be around, together again. Thanks for the question.

A True friend is one who shall always be by your side and not expect anything in return. He/she shall look not for your purse but for your heart. A great poet had said that like your hand which comes to your rescue and helps you protect your modesty when your dress falls off, a true friend shall come and help you at your time of distress. He shall do or say what is in your interest and not what interests you. They are as rare as an oasis in a desert.

Best friend is:

Basically your lover. One you trust with your life and you can talk to about ANYTHING with. You have no fear in bringing up any subject and nor do they. They actually want to hear about your day and you to them. Most "friends" fall very short in this.

From what I've experienced, most friends are users, they're only your buddy for the moment, for as long as you are valuable. Your spouse is not, they're around forever. Unless your with the wrong person. You know that, if they treat you like most so-called "friends" treat you.

Regular friend is: Fomr what I've experienced.....someone who's cool for the moment. Usually just around for you both to use each other with money, jobs, etc.

A friend is a person who is always there for you. Whether it's your bad times or the good one. Your true friend will stand by you right there to support you, to share your joys and sorrows. And you know what - only a true friend can do this.

someone who you can completely confide in and know they will always support you and never freak out. Someone who you can trust and know they will never betray you. someone who the feelings between the both of you goes far beyond love and family. To illistrate, one of my female friends, I think she is absolutelly beautiful and the greatest girl on the earth, she knows is, but her and I both understand we would not ever date. we can sleep in the same bed knowing neither of us would ever try anything. I can tell her anthing and she can tell me anything. If we need one another the the other will be there and make sure that they are there. She is one of the few people I call a true friend.
