I figured it's Halloween time and everyone has had some kind of supernatural thing happen to them at some point, or there is a local myth/haunting in the area you live. I would just like to hear some of them.

As a police officer I had to check the security of one of the oldest homes in town that is supposedly haunted by an old (Civil War Era) General. He supposedly can be seen on the upper balcony from time to time. Well the alarm went off while the residents were out of town, so I checked the outside of the location and all doors and wwindows were locked. As I was going back to my patrol car, I noticed the door on the balcony was wide open. We contacted a family member that lives in the area and they came out and let us inside so we could make sure no one was inside. The only light on was the main stairway light. After searching the house, securing the upstairs door, and making sure no one was inside, we decended down the main stairway to leave. Halfway down the light turned off. The only two switches are at the top and the bottom of the stairs and no one was there. The three of us left the location as fast as we could.

My Dad came from native rural place when he was young and wanted to make it big in the city so when he decided to leave his home and move to a city he was just walking down the path to catch a bus but as it was a very backward under developed place there were no lights there so while he was walking a white form appeared besides him and it was smoking something and it started to talk to my dad but my dad says being a bold guy he just asked who she was and what it wanted , she said she was just walking besides him and then she was just keeping quite even after my dad asked her again....my dad panicked but he just had to move on and on so he kept walking without turning back or aside to look at her. eventually it went off....

my aunt's house is haunted. i see ghosts in the mirrors there always.
Once, we were watchin tv there and a fat short figure passed by so fast the the bathroom's door banged. We ran there and the light was on..nobody was in the house except my cousin and me. we tried to open the door but it was locked although there is no lock on the door even from inside (i don't know why, they don't mind publicity lol). anyways, a minute later the light turned off by itself and the door was loose
