Because you might just as well not have voted. The votes for Nader put Bush in the White House and if you think the parties are the same, you are dead wrong.
A Green vote is a wasted vote. Hey, I voted for Anderson in 1980 and that, too, was a wasted vote. Third parties are an exercise in futility. Sad but true.

It is somewhat of a lost cause. At this point in time, voting for the greens will help the Rep stay in office.

The problem here is that the American democratic system is a winner take all system. So anything that would prevent the democrats from taking office would be considered bad.

Because its a wasted vote. if your going to vote green, why even go to the polls, its a calorie burner, but thats about it.
