Had a number of second interviews myself, usually it is a good sign as it means that you have been shortlisted. A lot of times it means that you are meeting other people in the organisation that couldn't meet you at first interview. Sometimes they will ask you to expand further on your CV or ask you similar questions. They may also give you a job spec and ask you to provide reasons why they should choose you over other candidates (which is hard as you won't get to know them).

Prepare as you would for any interview but pick up on points that you may have missed in your first interview or ask them what else you can tell them to help with their decision.

A 2nd interview usually means they're seriously considering you for the position. The type of question they will ask is probably specific to the job you're interviewing for. It may even be a formality so you can fill out the paperwork associated with starting a new job.

Sometimes, depending on the position, it means they're calling you in for a drug screen (which usually means they plan on hiring you if the drug screen is clear).
