I am also 22 years old. It was not a problem when i was 17 either. It has just gotten popular in the last couple of years. Anyone who does a drug to lose weight is just stupid because being overweight is much better than being an addict. And losing all your teeth and above all, losing your self respect.

Actually, I've heard of many cases starting at 12 and up. I know a girl that was strung out on it for a whole year when she was only 14. They say it's addicting from the very first try, and that's probably why...young people seem to be more prone to try things like that.

That is really sad. Those drugs can be very dangerous and the addictions are going to cause all sorts of problems for them. Not to mention the money they are wasting. And if the parents aren't doing anything about it, that is even sadder!!
When I was in high school, people smoked pot and drank. That was about it. I'm glad I don't have any kids!!

Yeah i thnk it's dumb too.
Many People i my suburb and probably in my school take it aswell. It's so stupid, getting addicted to something just to lose weight. If they wanna lose weight why don't they just eat right and excersise its not that hard. Besides, doesn't taking crystal meth make you get wrinkles or makes you look old or something?

I don't want to blame it on the media, but I really do think that girls have a messed up body image these days. I don't ever remember worrying about my weight as young as girls these days do. I think that there are very few good role models for these girls to look up to. Plus, if my mother ever found out I was messing with things like that my a$$ would have been kicked. I think that kids in general do things just to fit in with a crowd and to be accepted. They don't seem to accept the consequences attached to these decisions. It's sad really.
