Sony Vaio is the best but not cheap.
Toshiba is Cheap but not so good.
Average is DELL.
You can try DELL.

powerbook or ibook by Mac, but not cheap so I would suggest Compaq, HP or DELL brand also.

i reccommend the compaq presario. i bought it last year and its amazing! mine is a 512 ram...but they now have the 1024 ram version for only £499...you can't lose!!
