nobody owns up to it..and that brings up the question of ballot rigging... I am not comfortable with the technology behind elections. I think we are going to see a 3rd world nation type of uproar after november 7...Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely...If anybody living today believes that politicians, republicans or democrats.are interested in "government of the people, by the people, and for the people, well, I got some waterfront property i'll sell you in Death Valley..

Well, I voted for McGovern in 1972. And youa r dead right about the ballot rigging. And I don't doubt the earlier responder who said LBJ stole elections. As did the GOP in 2000. And that waterfront property might be worth something if the USA (and China and India) continue to ignore global warming.

Richard Nixon received more votes for president than any other candidate in history (combining his votes in 1960, 1968 and 1972, when he won about 60% of the vote). Any ballot-rigging that occurred in 1960 happened in Illinois and Texas, engineered by the Democrats. LBJ was a master at stealing elections.

As for today, I would also be concerned, especially about voting machines that don't create a paper record.

If I was was old enough back then I would have. the scholastic Reader Poll children voted for him. I did not think he was a bad president. If fact Kennedy and Harry S. Truman were the only president that the children polls did not pick.

Many of Nixon's voters are deceased like he is. The silent majority.

I don't know any older baby boomers who are ashamed to say they voted for Nixon.

In 20 years, you should be able to insert the name "George W. Bush" and get basically the same response.
