replace the drive and copy your data as fast as possible go to best buy or circut city and get a new hard drive, if u have a second computer use the internet on it and go to best buy.com or circut city.com and see what they have on sale so u can get a good deal with more data than u had before then after u bought it u install it and a new operating system (if u don't have a disk for that best buy or circut city sells them too) then u can put your old one back in and get the data off it (u cannot copy programs) after u r done copying u can see how long your old one will last

This is a very common issue. I happens when you don't have enough memory. When your computer doesn't have enough built in memory it starts to use your hard drive as a back-up. Unfortunately since your hard drive is nearly 100x slower than your memory, it will cause it to run constantly, and everything on you computer will run extremely slowly, especially booting up programs, and other menial tasks.
If you are running Windows XP you should have NO LESS than 1GB of memory, if you are running an older version of Windows then 512 MB should be fine.
Memory Up-grades are extremely simple, and quite cheap. Just find a friend who knows or look online.
This has probably been happening for so long that it has worn out your hard drive and is most likely going bad. I recommend purchasing a new hard drive and backing up any info you care about immediately, you may not have much time....

Try running Crap Cleaner - from here: http://ccleaner.com/ This will empty your Internet Temp. Files which may be clogging the hard drive. Back up any important files. Set a Restore Point, and then run ccleaner. Defrag. afterwards. If your hard drive is "grinding", it could be on its way out. Do a scan disk to check hard drive for damage. More info. here: http://www.gsw.edu/~oiit/techsupp/hd.html If you know the make of your hard drive, see if diagnostic tools are available on it's website.

A hard drive should not make a grinding sound EVER. So unless you are just confusing a griding sound with a normal "data accessing" sound, then its time to replace your hard drive ASAP before you loose all your data (hopefully you have stuff backed up).

Sounds like your hard drive is about to crash on you. Best thing is to look for another one right away. Back up what info you need so you can install a new hard drive.

each and every time this happens it does particularly of injury so it relatively is a few thing you could desire to computer screen of. New drivers tend to be somewhat on part while they alter gears yet in relatively certainty there is not any rush to get from one kit to the subsequent. you could desire to consistently attempt to disengage the kit after which enable the gearbox take the kit in relatively than attempt to push the lever from one kit at once into yet another. A mushy transition from kit X to impartial to kit Y relatively than yanking from kit X into kit Y in a single rapid circulate. Fiat gearboxes have been never the smoothest of gearboxes. automobiles never used to even have syncro meshes and kit adjustments had to be finished via matching the engine velocity to the line velocity then letting the gears drop in with out grinding them. in case you will get the engine velocity and highway velocity good then you could replace up and down the kit container with out employing the snatch in any respect aside from pulling away.

first of all spyware protection is a form of spyware in (a wolf in sheeps clothing and your registry is what slows down your pc
things stay in your registry even if there not installed anymore
but there is programs that clean obsolete items out of your registry .. i don't recommend doing this manually because there is important info in there that makes your pc run and plus you can go to your [start menu] then go to [run] type in [msconfig] then you can choose [selective startup] and take everything off of startup except your virus scans and other things you want to run at startup

a hard drive's estimated life span is 4 years.
sometimes they live longer, sometimes shorter. You got the worse end of the deal this time around.

Any grinding on the disk drive is indication of pending failure. COpy your data to a new disk and replace it.
