I working on my thesis and need literature that discusses the dodo bird effect. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Please do not give me suggestions on where to research because I have researched everywhere. If you know an exact study or website that discusses this theory that will be helpful. THANK YOU ALL!

What I have thus far for those that can understand: The Dodo bird hypothesis implies that counselors cannot claim superiority of one treatment over another (Roth, 1996, p. 15). This theory supports the view that what the counselor does to intervene, beyond simply caring and supporting, adds nothing demonstrable to the effects of relationship factors (Beutler & Harwood, 2002). Therefore, the therapeutic alliance established by the substance abuse counselor with the client accounts for a significant majority of psychotherapy effects (Andrews, 2000).

Well, I'm assuming you've checked the citiations within those papers you've listed... I would think you're up on it much more than the gaggle of nitwits you'll find on this website. You make it sound like you've exhausted the options, so I guess this is where you take it to the next level and do something new and contribute to science. Good luck..
